Welcome
to the website of photographer David Williams, whose interest
in Ian Fleming's James Bond has spanned nearly 40 years.
Since 1969, when
his parents took him to see George Lazenby in 'On Her Majesty's
Secret Service', David has followed the exploits of agent 007
both in print and on screen. Like many young boys who grew up
in Britain in the 1960's, one of his most memorable toys was a
gold Aston Martin DB5 made by Corgi. The hapless figure who flew
out of the ejector seat has long since vanished, but the model
Aston is still part of his Bond Collection. Over the years he
has added a large number of books, toys, magazines, props and
other memorabilia.
When 'The World is not Enough' began filming in
the spring of 1999, David paid a six week long visit to the
location. From the banks of the River Thames in London,
he photographed and videotaped actor Pierce Brosnan,
the Bond stunt team and others as they filmed the amazing boat
chase. David's photographs of the filming have appeared in various
newspapers, magazines, books and TV programs throughout the
world. The video diary he recorded, 'A View...to a Boat Chase',
has sold hundreds of copies since it's release, and is now available
to buy as a Special Edition DVD.
In 2000, David set up his first website BONDPIX
to showcase his interest in James Bond and photography. This
eventually led to his first online store selling copies of his
videos, DVD's and photographs. Since his marriage to Valerie
and relocation to Montana in the United States in 2002, David
has made photography, online sales and website design his main
occupation.
